H&R Block Discount Code Coupon

Filing your tax return can be complicated and time-consuming. That’s why many people choose to hire a professional to help them file their taxes. That’s what I have been doing for the last several years.

That’s also why The Military Wallet has teamed with H&R Block.

Our exclusive $25 discount offer with H&R Block is valid for 2023 personal tax returns (2023 tax year, filed in 2024) for new H&R Block customers who file their taxes in person at their H&R Block office.

A Coupon Code will be required to take advantage of this offer. Get your code by clicking the “Show Discount Code” button below.

For those who file their taxes online, we have also secured an exclusive 20% discount on online tax filing for select products – up from 15% in previous years.

How to Redeem The H&R Block Military Discount Code:

Visit an H&R Block office near you to drop off your tax documents with this coupon code. You need to write down the code or take a screenshot and have it with you when you visit the office.

Then, let the tax professionals do the work without you having to wait. They will call with any questions, and you can even review and approve your return electronically.

This offer is available only for new H&R block clients and for personal tax returns. During your initial tax office interview, provide your coupon code to ensure it gets added to your account.

This discount offer expires on April 10th, 2024, so be sure to get started early!

Here is the fine print for the in-person offer:

Valid at participating U.S. offices for an original 2023 personal income tax return for new clients only. Discount may not be combined with any other offer or promotion. Void if transferred and where prohibited. Coupon must be presented prior to completion of initial tax office interview. A new client is an individual who did not use H&R Block office services to prepare his or her 2022 tax return. No cash value.

Why Use H&R Block to File Your Tax Return

When searching for tax help, you want to make sure the company you use has a stellar reputation and guarantees the services they provide.

H&R Block meets both of those qualifications and offers a $25 discount for The Military Wallet readers for in-person filers.

H&R Block provides quality tax services and a smooth and transparent process. You’ll always know how much your tax return will cost before you start your return.

In-person prices begin at $89 per tax return, not counting state tax returns or any discounts, such as the $25 coupon code listed above. You can schedule an in-person appointment here, or walk-in to your local H&R Block office at any time.

You’ll need to visit the H&R Block store to have a firm understanding of what your tax return will cost, since each situation is unique. The more forms and complexity you add to your return, the more your price may go up. Speak with an H&R Block tax professional for more information.

H&R Block also stands behind their work. For example, you can elect to purchase the Peace of Mind® Extended Service Plan, which provides tax audit protection and representation.

H&R Block Online – For the DIY Taxpayer

There are dozens of companies that offer tax preparation software. However, the same thing applies to software as it does to in-person tax preparation – price does not equal quality. So it pays to shop around to find the best value for your needs.

If you’re looking for a good place to start, you can always check out H&R Block Online, which will allow you to do your own tax return.

Keep in mind that many tax software companies offer the best discounts earlier in the tax season. Prices often increase the closer you get to the tax filing deadline. At the time of this writing, H&R Block is offering 20% off its online tax filing service for readers of The Military Wallet.

Here are some of their current offers:

H&R Block makes it easy to import your W-2 by snapping a picture with your phone and importing it to your tax return. You will also get real-time tax refund results – as you fill out your return, the H&R Block software will show you the status of your progress as well as an estimated amount of your tax refund.

Finally, H&R Block guarantees your tax return with a 100% accuracy and maximum tax refund guarantee.

A Note About Who is Eligible for Free Tax Preparation

If you currently serve in the military, you may be eligible to file your tax return for free.

Some taxpayers may also be eligible to file their tax returns for free if they meet certain income limits and do not have a complicated tax return.

You can view the H&R Block Free Online version to see if you qualify to file your taxes for free.

That said, you will most likely need to purchase specialized software if you exceed certain income limits or you have additional forms such as home interest deductions, donations, Health Savings Account contributions, small business or 1099 income, investment income, or similar complexities.

Is the 445880071 Code just for the $25 off in-person discount? Or also good for the 20% off online discount?

If just for in-person, how does one get the 20% off online discount?

      Hello Brenda,

The H&R Block promotion on this site is the only promotion I have any information on and it came directly from the H&R Block marketing team.

I don’t have insight into any other H&R Block promotions beyond the one listed on our site. You would need to speak with the tax professional you spoke with to verify the terms of any promotions they are or were offering. Another option is to contact the main H&R Block customer service department.

      I wish you the best.

    • Kelly says

      Hi Brenda,

I think those reward cards come out after April 15th but you should be able to call 1-800-HRBLOCK to find out for sure.
