Just do it – use the Nike military discount!

Nike offers a generous 10% military discount online and in stores that can be used up to four times every 30 days. This discount helps to offset some of the cost of Nike clothing and gear and make it more accessible to the members of the military community.

Additionally, this discount expands to other stores in the Nike family, including Converse stores in the United States.

What Is the Military Discount?

The Nike military discount saves you and your family 10% – 20% off on purchases of shoes and athletic wear along with corresponding sports equipment. At Converse, this discount provides a discounted rate for clothing and other apparel.

You can also use the discount for the Nike Run Club app, Nike Training Club App, and its affiliate pages in the United States.

The discount doesn’t apply to Swoosh.com.

How Much Can You Save?

Save 10% every day. On patriotic holidays like the Fourth of July, Memorial Day, or Veteran’s Day, this discount might be increased. Some items in the online store might be eligible for 20% off, so be on the lookout for extra savings.

Who Is Eligible?

The military discount is available to all active duty service members and their families, along with Reserves, National Guard, retirees, and veteran community members.

Proof of service or verification is required. In-store, a military ID is used for confirmation. If you’re shopping online, you need to authenticate your status using SheerID.

For military members stationed OCONUS (aka Outside the CONtinental US) you are in luck! Nike, like many other retailers, ships to APO/FPO mailing addresses. While this shipment will take longer than stateside shipments, your athletic purchases are not restricted to the limited supply at your local installation’s Exchange.

How to Get the Military Discount

SheerID requires that you complete a verification form and upload supporting documentation to show you’re eligible for the discount. Then, a promotion code is emailed to you, which can be applied to your checkout cart online.

SheerID is a third-party service that helps confirm your eligibility through their verification process. In most cases, verification is instant, and the promo screen can be used right away. Sometimes documentation can take up to twenty minutes, but those instances are rare.

To sign up for SheerID, you’ll need to upload a picture of your government-issued ID that shows your name, branch of service, and current military status. This service is similar to the popular ID.me that offers the same service for other military discounts.

The discount isn’t redeemable for credit or toward previous purchases.

How Does This Military Discount Compare to Similar Discounts?

Compared to other sporting apparel and shoe store discounts, the Nike military discount makes a lot of financial sense – especially if you and your family are avid fitness enthusiasts. With products ranging from soccer shoes to football gloves, weightlifting platform shoes to headbands, there’s something for everyone at a Nike store.

If sports aren’t your thing, the discount applies to Converse stores as well, giving you access to deep discounts there. Choose from comfortable Chuck Taylor’s to cozy sweatshirts.

Compared to other military discounts, however, Nike’s 10% isn’t as much of a showstopper as some other brands. For example, Under Armour offers 20% of their retail prices, which really makes a big difference if you have an entire family in need of new athletic clothing. Of course, UA is an anomaly in terms of discounts – most stores range between 5% and 15%. So, if Nike is your preferred brand, then the 10% discount is sure to come in handy.
