Veterans Day Events & Activities
Each Veterans Day, thousands of locations celebrate our nation's current and former servicemembers with special ceremonies, parades, and events. Many locations also offer free or discounted admission.

2019 Veterans Day Events (Awaiting Updates for 2020)

Some companies haven’t yet made announcements for 2020 offers. It is possible some or all of these companies may not be participating in 2020 Veterans Day events or discounts.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions and other reasons, some places may not participate this year. Please check with the respective organizations for updates.

Aquariums, Zoos, and Wildlife Parks

Birmingham Zoo, Birmingham, AL: Pending 2020 information. 2019 offer found here.

Northwest Trek Wildlife Park, Tacoma, WA (2019): Awaiting update for 2020. NTWP participated in Veterans Day admissions offers in 2018 and 2019.

Oregon Zoo (2019): Awaiting update for 2020. Oregon Zoo participated in Veterans Day admissions offers in 2018 and 2019.

Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium, Tacoma, WA (2019). Awaiting update for 2020. Oregon Zoo participated in Veterans Day admissions offers in 2018 and 2019.

Wildlife Safari Park, Ashland, Nebraska (near Omaha): Awaiting update for 2020. Wildlife Safari Park participated in Veterans Day admissions offers in 2019.

Free Admission to Museums on Veterans Day

Country Music Hall of Fame (2019): Awaiting update for 2020. Here is more info from the 2019 festivities.

Harley-Davidson Museum® (2019): Most 2020 events at the Harley-Davidson Museum have been canceled. We will check back in 2021. Here is more info about the Harley-Davidson Museum® 2019 event.

Football Hall of Fame Veterans Day Admission

Pro Football Hall of Fame – Free Admission (2019): Free Admission to the Pro Football Hall of Fame for all veterans and active military plus one guest, during the entire month of November. Throughout the rest of November and every day at the Pro Football Hall of Fame, veterans and active military receive $5 off Museum admission and their spouses and dependents (under 18) receive $3 off. In addition, free parking will be provided for the month of November. More information for 2019 event.

National Parks & Landmarks

Army Corp of Engineers Recreation Areas: Waived day use fees for veterans, active and reserve component service members, and their families at the more than 2,800 USACE-operated recreation areas nationwide on Veterans Day. The waiver covers fees for boat launch ramps and swimming beaches.

The waiver does not apply to camping and camping-related services, or fees for specialized facilities such as group picnic shelters.
