For a twist on a classic dish, consider Pizza Ranch’s western-themed pizza.
Pizza Ranch restaurants serve their pizza buffet-style alongside salads, sides, dessert and its branded “country’s best chicken.”
If you don’t see a slice of the pizza your want on a Pizza Ranch buffet, just ask for it. Staff will bake a fresh pizza for you and give you the first slice!
Some locations also include a “FunZone” arcade, where you can earn tickets to redeem for prizes.
Since 1981, Pizza Ranch has expanded from its original location in Hull, Iowa to more than 200 locations in 15 states.
Many Pizza Ranch locations offer everyday military discounts and Veterans Day promotions. `
Pizza Ranch’s Everyday Military Discount
Pizza ranch restaurants are franchise businesses, so local owners set their own policies for discounts, sales and other promotions.
“Many Pizza Ranch locations offer military discounts,” Pizza Ranch spokesperson Gwen Lahrs said in an interview. “These discounts vary by location, so the best way to find out if there is a discount available is to contact the location that (you) are planning to visit.”
You can also see each location’s military discounts here. So far, 129 out of 212 Pizza Ranch locations offer military discounts.
Lahrs said the military discount usually amounts to 10% off regularly priced items at participating locations. Similar discounts for children and seniors may also be available.
Pizza Ranch’s Veterans Day Discounts
Many Pizza Ranch locations also offer a Veterans Day discount to current and former military personnel.
“Pizza Ranch does give our restaurants the option to choose to offer discounts to veterans and active military either during Veterans Week (Nov. 7-11) or just on Veterans Day,” Lahrs said.
“Some locations will offer veterans and military members 50% off the adult buffet price during the week, and some are offering a free adult buffet on Veterans Day,” Lahrs said. Participating restaurants may offer one or both of these promotions.
Contact your local Pizza Ranch store to find out the specific details of its Veterans Day offers.
How Pizza Ranch Supports the Military
Pizza Ranch franchises also support veterans and other causes by hosting fundraising events and donating profits.
For example, a Jamestown, North Dakota Pizza Ranch store hosted a raised funds at its restaurant on Aug. 31, 2021 – five days after 13 service members were killed in Afghanistan. The restaurant donated 13% of the day’s profits to the service members’ families, according to the restaurant’s Facebook post.
At the Portage, Wisconsin Pizza Ranch location, guest services manager Steve Kilian started a “Pay it Forward” fund in 2016 to collect donations for veterans. Kilian provides the cash in an envelope with thank-you notes to veterans who visit the Portage location. The Fraternal Order of Elks presented Kilian with a distinguished citizenship award for his initiative.
