Academy Sports announced it will bring back its military discount of 10% off through July 4th, 2025. This discount allows active military, veterans, and first responders to take 10% off their entire purchase online or in-store.
Use ID.me on the Shopping Cart page to confirm military status or first responder status for online purchases. ID proof of your profession or military status is needed for in-store purchases.
Note: discount dates are subject to change without notice – we will do our best to update this post as Academy changes the military discount offer periods.
Also, each year Academy Sports + Outdoors historically offers discounts ahead of and up to Veterans Day. Be sure to check back this fall to see the dates the discount will go into effect.

Excellent idea! Academy Sports home office in Katy usually has some kind of celebration on Veterans Day, showing their support of those who stood in the gap for America’s Constitution and citizens.
With only a few days before the 4th Quarter begins, the ad says it applies to the entire purchase but it needs to specify with marked down and special items included or not. Likewise, the applicable dates would also be appreciated. It would be wise to indicate if “veteran” is on the driver’s license or a retired ID are the only means to verify veteran or active duty. Also, first responder ID requirements should be spelled out.
