About Sandals Resorts International
Sandals Resorts International began in 1981 with a single property in Montego Bay, Jamaica, founded by visionary entrepreneur Gordon “Butch” Stewart. In 1985, the company expanded with its second resort, originally called the Carlyle and now known as Sandals Inn. Since then, Sandals has grown steadily, adding new resorts almost every year, including its latest addition, Sandals Saint Vincent, which opened in 2024.
Today, the company owns and operates five four brands across over 25 properties in eight islands: Saint Vincent, Curaçao, Jamaica, Bahamas, Saint Lucia, Antigua, Grenada, and Barbados.

What is the Sandals Resorts Military Discount?
Sandals Resort International offers a 10% discount all through the year to Military personnel. The Sandals military discount, unlike many other military discounts, can be combined with any existing promotional deal. It is applicable to one room per service member.
Who is Eligible for the Sandals Military Discount?
The Sandals military discount is available to both United States and Canada service members. The discount extends to:
- Active-duty personnel
- Reservists
- Veterans
- Retirees
- U.S. National Guard
- U.S. Department of Defense
- Canada Department of National Defense
U.S. and Canadian first responders, including police officers, firefights, EMTs, search and rescue personnel, and U.S. FEMA employees may also be eligible for similar discounts.
How to Access the Sandals Military Discount
- Login or create a Sandals Resorts account.
- Under your “Profile” settings, complete the SheerID Verification form.
- Once your account is verified, find your upcoming stay under “Trips” and select “Apply for Military Discount” right above your vacation balance.
- It may take approximately 10 minutes to display the discount.
Note: When creating a reservation, select “Pay Minimum Deposit”. Apply for the discount before paying off your vacation balance. The discount cannot be applied to reservations that are paid in full.
Sandals Military Discount Terms and Conditions
The Sandals 10% Military Discount can be combined with many other Sandals promotions, offers, and loyalty discounts. However, it cannot be combined with promotions such as Free Anniversary Nights or Last-Minute Travel Deals.
The offer must be issued at least 60 days prior to travel, and the room balance must be larger than $100. It is only applicable to one room per servicemember, and it must be applied before the vacation is paid in full.
