How Does the Verizon Military Discount Compare?

Verizon’s military discount packages are robust and offer options for every type of internet need. Other military discounts on home internet include AT&T, Xfinity/Comcast, and Frontier Communications.

AT&T’s discount applies to active duty servicemembers and veterans and offers 15% off monthly service charges for phone, internet, and TV. AT&T requires you to apply online, and support requested documentation to verify your ID. When you convert the Verizon Fios discount into a percentage the discount comes out to roughly 18 – 25%!

Xfinity/Comcast doesn’t offer a discount on their monthly services, but active duty servicemembers and veterans will receive a $100 prepaid VISA card when they open a new account. Additionally, AD and veterans will receive a $25 Xfinity coupon to be used toward their bill.

Frontier Communications offers a discount that’s similar to Verizon’s options. The first discount gives you $10 off per month on Frontier’s Triple Play plans, and the other offers $5 off each month on Double Play plans.

How Does Verizon Support the Military Community?

As with other veteran-centric companies, Verizon really does a good job of supporting our community members, both through their incentive programs, employment opportunities and in their commitment to veterans and employment options.

Verizon leads the way with its commitment and support to the military community. It’s been rated the number one military-friendly company three years in a row. The organization is dedicated to providing resources and job placement for veterans. Additionally, Verizon consistently ranks in the top ten as a military spouse friendly employer for its opportunities curated specifically for military spouses. Verizon also has partnerships with the Wounded Warrior Project, the VA, and the Veteran’s Advantage programs, supporting those who serve our community.
