How the Dell Military Discount Works
Dell offers up to 10% off on select items, including PCs and accessories, to eligible customers. However, the discount is only available on Dell’s online store. It cannot be utilized at an in-person Dell retail location or at another store that sells Dell products.
The Dell Heroes Purchase Program requires military verification through SheerID, and once verified, eligible pricing is automatically reflected on qualifying products when you are signed in to your Dell account.
Who Qualifies for the Dell Military Discount
The Dell Heroes Purchase Program allows eligible servicemembers to save big on their technological solutions. Eligible members of the military community include:
- Active duty
- Veterans
- Retirees
Additionally, select first responders and medical professionals are also eligible for the discount program.
How to Get the Dell Military Discount
To have the Dell military discount applied to your account, follow these steps:
- Sign in or create a Dell Technologies account
- Opt in for Dell Rewards by clicking the Dell Rewards Box when you create an account
- Verify your military status on the membership tab
Verification is completed exclusively through SheerID. You may be asked to provide documentation such as a DD Form 214, Military ID Card, Veterans ID Card, or other service records if SheerID cannot verify your status instantly.
Once SheerID verification is complete, eligible discounted pricing appears automatically on qualifying products when logged in. No coupon code is required.
If verification issues occur, Dell directs users to SheerID support rather than a dedicated Dell military email for assistance.
Dell Military Discount Terms, Limits, and Exclusions
Dell’s military discount, while generous, does come with some notable terms and exclusions.
The military discount is valid with select offers but not with other coupons. Limited quantity deals, order codes, clearance offers, warranties, gift cards and other select PCs, electronics and accessories are also excluded from the discount.
The Heroes Purchase Program also excludes refurbished products, spare parts, and certain promotional or limited quantity items.
The military discount is valid for 2 products per transaction up to 2 transactions per year, so make sure to stack your purchases accordingly if you’re looking to purchase multiple items each calendar year.

Trade-Ins
Dell offers trade-in services for your old technology. If you’re looking to upgrade or replace an old piece of technology, first check Dell’s terms and conditions for trade-in to see if you could be eligible to earn store credit. This can help military members reduce upfront costs when upgrading before or after a deployment.
Dell Rewards
Dell Rewards accounts are entirely free, and they offer major savings to their members. Dell Rewards Members receive 9% back per purchase in rewards to fuel future Dell.com purchases. Additionally, Dell Rewards members receive $1 off for every 100 rewards points they collect. Dell Rewards can be used alongside Heroes Purchase Program pricing, allowing military families to maximize savings.
Price Matching
Dell offers price matching services for up to 30 days post-purchase. If you find a lower-priced, identical product on a qualifying retailers’ website, Dell will either discount your purchase or refund you the difference. This gives service members added protection against fluctuating tech prices during high demand periods or PCS transitions.
