DICK’S Sporting Goods Military Discount

DICK’S Sporting Goods is America’s largest sporting goods retailer, with over 850 brick-and-mortar locations and a robust online presence.

The retailer doesn’t offer a chain-wide discount for military members, but some individual store locations do offer a 10% in-store military discount. The discount is available at the discretion of the individual store manager.

Discounts are not offered online through the main site. If you do receive a discount, it is not available for items currently on sale, those on DICK’S promotion exclusion list, gift cards, previously purchased merchandise, or clearance items.

You can ask DICK’S employees when you visit a location or call a specific store to inquire about the store’s policy. Use the DICK’S Sporting Goods store location tool to find a nearby location.

DICK’S Private Label 25% Discount

The good news is that DICK’S private label brand, DSG Outerwear, offers a 25% discount for military, responder, and medical personnel on their companion website, www.DSGOuterwear.com.

To get the discount code, visit the military discount page on the DSG Outerwear website and follow the instructions on how to receive it. It’s important to note that it cannot be combined with prior purchases or applied during special sales like Flash sales. The discount also does not apply to gift cards or events.

Other Ways To Save at DICK’S

Text and Email Alerts

You may not receive a military discount, but a great way to take advantage of DICK’S discounts is to sign up for alerts sent by email and text that are sent to the public. Discount offers change frequently, and the savings range from 5% to as much as 30%.

DICK’S ScoreCard

You can also get a DICK’S ScoreCard that lets you collect one point for every dollar you spend. Earn rewards cash, receive exclusive offers and discounts, get inside access to product releases, and check out faster with saved online purchase information.

The ScoreCard can also be used in person and online at Golf Galaxy and Field and Stream Shops.

You must accumulate at least 300 points to redeem rewards. When you reach 300 points, that works out to $10 in rewards. There is a reward cap of $500, and points expire after one year if they are not transferred into rewards.

Price Matching

DICK’S Sporting Goods offers price matching. To qualify, customers must provide DICK’S with an ad or website that shows the same product at a lower price.

The best part is that you can use sale prices from another DICK’S store to get a price match guarantee.

You can price match online, but active military and veteran customers who also wish to receive the military discount at a participating store must request the price match in person.

DICK’S Cash

You can also get a discount with DICK’S Cash, which is offered at certain times of the year. You’ll get a coupon via email about ten days after meeting the minimum purchase requirements.

Proof of Service is Required

If you find a store offering a military discount, you must first verify your eligibility and prove your military or veteran status. 

Some suggested forms of ID to prove your service include:

• Military ID card
• Veterans or Retired ID card or VA health care card 
• Your current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES).
• Your DD Form 214 Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty.

If you have other forms of active military or veteran identification, contact your DICK’S Sporting Goods location to ensure they will accept it.
