Denny’s will continue its annual Veterans Day tradition of giving current and former military members a free “Build Your Own Grand Slam” breakfast on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
The deal is specifically geared toward the breakfast hours of the day, ending at noon. Several restaurants offer breakfast as part of their Veterans Day discount or free meal.

Denny’s is giving veterans and active-duty military a free Original Grand Slam® on November 11, 2025, from 5 a.m. to noon at participating locations with a valid ID or DD 214.
Denny’s Veterans Day Offer
You can get your free meal by showing your military or veteran ID at a participating Denny’s between 5 am and noon on November 11.
The “Build Your Own Grand Slam” is a customizable breakfast option that allows you to choose any four of the following menu items:
- Two eggs cooked the way you want them
- Two pancakes
- Two slices of bacon
- Two sausage patties
- Fried potatoes
- Two pieces of toast
- English muffin
- Grilled ham slice
- Seasonal fruit bowl
Many locations are individually owned and operated, so contact your local Denny’s to confirm the deal is available at the location you want to visit.
Eligibility and Restrictions
Denny’s limits its free breakfast to veterans and active-duty military members who can prove their service. The offer does not extend to everyone at the table, so people in your party who have not served should expect to pay full price.
You can’t combine the free Veterans Day meal with other promotions, and add-ons cost the regular menu price.
The offer is valid for dine-in customers and does not include drinks or gratuity. So, be sure to bring money for coffee and please, tip your wait staff.
How to Prove You’re a Veteran
You may need to show proof of military service to enjoy the Denny’s Veterans Day military discount.
Commonly accepted documentation includes:
- Military ID Card
- Veterans ID Card
- Driver’s License with Veterans Designation
- Membership cards in veterans organizations such as the American Legion or Veterans of Foreign Wars
- A copy of your DD214 discharge form.
