The White House has proposed a 3.0% military pay raise for 2021. We have put together these 2021 military pay charts based on the current proposal. Please keep in mind this pay raise must still be voted in by Congress before it will become law. If approved, the 2021 military pay charts go into effect on January 1, 2021. You will see the corresponding income in your first paycheck, which should arrive on January 15, 2021.

Each year, the government reviews military compensation and proposes an annual cost of living adjustment. The 3.0% pay raise comes on the heels of a 3.1% raise in 2020, the largest pay raise in over a decade. Here are the 2020 military pay charts to see how they compare to 2021 pay. You can also see the proposed 2021 Drill pay charts here.

When Do I Get Paid? Military paydays are on the 1st and 15th of the month unless it is a holiday or weekend. Paydays that would normally fall on one of those days are paid on the preceding business day. Here are the current military pay schedules:

Hello Hellena, I’m sorry for your loss.

There is an annual cost of living increase that is announced later in the year that applies to military retirees and widows. It also applies to Social Security benefits and VA disability compensation rates. I will be sure to make an announcement when we have this information.

      Thank you!
